Sway  162 - 3    Fawley III   93

Sway finished their season in style by comprehensively thrashing Fawley by 69 runs and recording an unbeaten league record. Despite losing Ross Clark run out for 4 the following batsmen all got runs Joe Rodway making 20 and Terry Steadman retiring on 26, with Adam Clark also retiring on 26 although he returned when Dave Marshall was stumped for 6. Clark (46 n.o ) was helped by Jack Walton 26 not out as Sway closed their innings at 162 for 3.

Dave Marshall and Ross Clark opened the bowling and with 1-16 and 1-18 respectively the stranglehold they achieved effectively won the game for Sway right at the start of Fawley's reply. S.Rollinson snr with 19 and K.Glass scored some late runs but Rollinson was run out smartly by Rodway's direct hit and Steadman 1-24 and Rodway 1-16 saw Sway home the last wicket falling off the last ball of the match Walton taking a finely judged catch off the ceiling. Skipper Adam Clark was full of praise for all of the players used during the season and also the help of other club members with scoring duties and support given.

As the team will now be promoted to division 2 Sway are intending to put in a 2nd team next season anyone who is interested in playing (matches are on Sunday's ) should let Dave Hurrell know.
