Electing to bat first Lymington made a solid start through Neil Trestrail and Trevor Phillips before Phillips was run out for 11 bringing in former Sway great Jim Lowe. These two had taken the score to 61 when Trestrail was exquisitley caught one handed by Dave Marshall off the bowling of Terry Steadman. When Lowe retired with 26 runs to his name the rest of the batting spluttered to a disappointing 95 for 4 with Jack Walton taking 2 for 10 and Steadman ending with 1 for 22.
Sway made the necessary 96 runs needed without too many problems losing only one wicket Ross Clark being caught off Phillips bowling for 14. Adam Clark (26) and Terry Steadman (27) both retired and it was left to Walton and Steve How to guide Sway home in the 11th over.
