SWAY   118      MILFORD    66

Sway's eagerly awaited return to indoor cricket produced a comprehensive 52 run win over Milford on Sea. Put into bat the score of 118 was built around two excellent knocks from Alex Hall (30) and Joe Rodway (37). However, with both of them proving that their running between the wickets is the same indoors as well as outdoors, there were 5 run outs with D.Brown (1-30) taking the only bowling wicket.

Steve How 2-19 picked up a wicket with the first ball of Milford's reply C.Burns hitting the ball straight to the safe hands of Terry Steadman and how also bowled J.Brockhart for 7. Milford replicated Wway's running ending with 3 run outs and only W.Thorp (26) staying around but Steadman (1-3) removed him thanks to a refulgent one handed catch by Rodway. Skipper Adam Clark declared himself confident of the club enjoying a good season with plenty of players to choose from.
